Estamos no ano 3000. Dex Hamilton, um jovem entomologista e explorador da vida selvagem, é chamado à ação quando insetos alienígenas rastejando pela galáxia criam uma perigosa brecha entre o homem e a natureza. Acompanhado por sua equipe de cientistas, Zap Monogan, Jenny 10 e Tung “o fantástico garoto sapo”, Dex se propõe a observar e capturar esses estranhos espécimes.
